Rubbernecker Blogger Challenge #9
It’s my week to host the Rubbernecker challenge and I’ve chosen to present you with an inspiration piece to get your creative juices flowing!
As I was browsing the web, searching art sites, I came
across this great print by Dee Ott on Art.com.
I love the vivid colors and the abstract style.
So here’s your challenge. Create a card or other paper crafting project using this print as your starting point. You can use just the colors, the fern image, the abstract style or anything about it that inspires you. Generally what I do for with an inspiration piece is to sit and look at it for a while, trying to grasp the feeling of it. Then I walk away. When I come back to my craft table whatever has stuck in my mind about the piece is what I go with.
There’s no right or wrong to it. That’s what inspiration is all about. Everyone interprets it differently.
So in order to participate, you simply need to create your project using this picture as your inspiration and upload it to your blog or any other online photo gallery. Please come back here and leave us a comment, providing a direct link to your finished piece. It will be really interesting to see all the different interpretations!
This is what I came up with:
You can find all the card details here on my blog Splashes of Watercolor.

Broni, your card is absolutely stunning. I love your happy mistake with the embossing powder. It adds texture to this gorgeous and soft scene.

Hi Broni...your inspired card turned out very beautifully! I am sooo flattered that you used my painting for inspiration! *beams* It just happens that I was googling my name just to see what would come up and I found this!
Thank you so much for keeping my name on it or I might never have gotten such a marvelous compliment. This painting is my best seller and I suppose I should do more of them. LOL! This discovery made my day.
