Hello there, everyone! It's my pleasure to present our Rubbernecker Bloggers' Challenge #8 ( RNBC8 ) ! In previous challenges we have been treated to a splendid sketch, and one of my favorite techniques, paper-piecing. Today, I'm challenging everyone to use "2 or more folds" in our creations! Ideas include pocket folds, joy-folds, tri-folds, double-pocket cards, etc. The overall design simply needs to include a minimum of 2 folds.
You might be thinking, "How do I play along?" Easy! All you have to do is use the challenge requirement and upload your project to your blog and/or your online gallery. We love to showcase your projects on this blog, and ask that you please come back to this post, and add a link to your project in the comment section. In other words, we love looking at new eye-candy just like you!
My card is considered a 'joy-fold' card, which in essence is a right-fold card layered atop a left-fold card. I adore this layout ... and it lends itself to masculine ideas, as well as feminine or elegant ideas. My card is actually intended to inspire us toward a holiday greeting that is easily reproduced for multiple Christmas quantities ... as long as you get started this month. *wink* I'll show the front, closed view to you here, and will include more details and more views on my blog at Savor the Journey.
Following is an interior view of my dual-fold card. Further details will be found at Savor the Journey. I hope you enjoy the challenge, and come back to share your project links with us! Happy Wednesday, everyone!
