Hey there Rubbernecker friends!! How are you today? How do you like that title? HUH? I believe that is going to be my NEW mantra!! Haha! What do you think? I figure, I have to be different, ya know? That......and....well.....that is JUST me!! Afternoon!! SO.......I thank you all for stopping by!! Hey, speaking of which, I hope you did the rest of the week!! I am telling you......these Rubbernecker girls are amazing!! If you missed them? Be sure to go back and check them out!! While you are there? Why not leave them some LOVE too!!
Today I have a CUTE little CAT to share with you!! I also have some coloring to share TOO! Now, I don't know how well you know me, BUT, I LOVE my Copics!! They are SO fun to color with!! At first they really scared me, BUT, once I practiced I REALLY got past that!! I like building a color, you know.....starting out light to dark? Ok, I think I actually do it backwards! Like that's a surprise!! I AM a LITTLE backwards!! Have to have some fun!! Anyway, I will explain to you what I have done and then show you pics, so you can see the progression! Or......DE-gression, as the case may be!! I don't think that is even a word.......oh well! Gotta be me!
I started by stamping my RN CAT with Memento Tuxedo black, onto white GP cardstock. Then I chose my DSP and colored cardstock, which ended up being PTI and SU by the way. I took some scrap white cardstock and checked out some colors that I thought would match. I always like to do that, to have a starting point. I like to match my DSP. I am a matchy-matchy kind of girl!
After I chose the colors I was going to use I layed down my darkest shade,RV19. I use a flicking type motion, just because the layering seems to look smoother that way. I then layed my RV09 and looked at what I had. I decided to go back in, at the CAT'S feet, and add a darker shade RV69. I finished the CAT'S body with RV06. Keep in mind, I do go back and forth between all my colors, to get the desired effect I want. You know, a little more here, or a little more there. When the body was completed, I went back and did the same to the tail. Once the primary parts were done, I followed the same technique with the funky blocks on the belly and on the ears! I used Y02,Y06,Y08, & Y35. At the end of all my blending I used a smidge of C2, along with Y35, for the eyes;I used the R69 for the nose. As you can probably see from some of the pics, I had a bit of bleeding with the color. I take my 0 colorless blender and my heating tool to get rid of my smudges! I have found that my heating tool is REALLY helpful in NOT letting TOO much 0 get where it should NOT!! As a final touch, I ran some PTI Raspberry Fizz and SU Yellow cardstock thru my Cuttlebug with a MFT Flower Die. I also ran my CAT and her sentiment thru with my Spellbinders Dies! Then, added some white organdy ribbon, dark yellow rhinestones, from Mike's, and sealed it with my ATG gun and Scotch dots!
Well, my pics are below, along with my finished product! I took the final pic outside, it is such a BEAUTIFUL day today!! I had to share!! Hope you enjoyed my creation and hope to see you next week!! I would LOVE to share some more FUN in the Afternoon!! Have an AWESOME day!!

Jacquie I admire how lovely your coloring is with your Copics. I sold my full set as I justt didn't do well with them. I thought it was a pretty expensive set of markers to have around to color my ribbon. LOL! Great post, I love your "pink panther" and your pretty papers and flowers.
