I wanted to share a little secret with you today. I am cheap, er. .um, I mean frugal and want to get all I can out of my wonderful craft supplies. This is one way I do it.
When layering, why not lighten the load and use that paper that is hidden anyway? I do it and this is how.
See! You can’t tell that those layers aren’t full sheets of card stock – and look at all those punched pieces I have to work with! I used them to decorate the sentiment panel and still had lots left over for future projects.
The image is stamped with white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I then sponged on Peeled Paint and Tumbled Glass distress inks. The sentiment panel is popped up with foam squares. I shaped the flowers a bit and added liquid pearls to the center of the main flower and to the dandelions as well.
Do you have some money saving tricks/tips that you would like to share with us? Please do!
Stamps: Dandelion Garden Border SKU 539-04, Sentiment from Garden Shrub Set SKU 560

I didn't think I was the only person out there that tries to stretch the paper as far as it will go. I also cut Nestabilities shapes out of the centers.

Great tips, Karen! Your card is so soft and pretty!
I have a tendency to be frugal, too. I love the dimensionals by Stampin Up. To get double the number of dimensionals that come in the package, I often cut them in half for my creations. I also use all the border pieces, cutting them up for what I need.
