Hello stampers! Holly here!
Our current economic recession has us crafty type people scrambling for ways to save a buck or two in order to ... well, buy more stamps! Am I right?! :) Everyone who has a box or drawer (or two or three) of older crafting supplies that you've ignored because they're not "IN" right now... raise your hand. Yeah, I see you.. and you.. and you.. and ME!
Years ago, I purchased a 6" tall bottle of tiny white and cream colored prima flowers. I've used maybe a 10th of the bottle and there are still hundreds in there. When prima flowers exploded on the craft scene, I purchased just about every color on the chart and yet I still never had the right color when I wanted it.
So today I wanted some colorful little flowers to go on my card. I took several of the tiny white flowers and colored them with some of my softer colored copic markers. Works like a charm!
Also, since the cuttlebug came along, I rarely use heat embossing. It's a shame, too! I remember falling head over heals in love with heat embossing when I first started crafting. It was like magic!!
Today I took a couple of gorgeous Rubbernecker Stamps butterflies and embossed them in white on a pale blue background. It gives the illusion of a piece of designer paper, yet it didn't cost me a thing!
Here's my result:
Here are my deets:

Holly, what a clever idea to color your little white flowers with your Copics. Truthfylly, I was using my Copics for coloring ribbon more than ever coloring with them on images. LOL! That;s why I sold mine. You have the perfect idea to get your flowers exactly the color you want to match your colored image. Also, I love your emobssed butterfly background/. Gorgeous card,
