Hey there friends!  How are you?  It's FRI-day!!  How AWESOME is that?  Thanks SO much for stopping by to visit!!  Speaking of visit, it was SO great to visit with all of you LAST weekend, in Westminster!!  I had a BLAST sharing our stampin' fun with you!!  Hope you did too!!  If you missed the show, I have a sample to share today!!  I just HAD to let you see what you missed!!  Besides, it was SO fun using these KITTIE KITS!!  Have you seen all the possibiites?  SO many scene builders!!  LOVE them!!  Here check out my seasonal creation!!

Karen’s Korner–Only one layer

I really like cards that can be mailed easily – meaning they are less than 1/4” thick – therefore they have few if any embellishments and layers.

 

I created this card with that in mind.

Stamps: Garden Phrase Set SKU 508, Hawaiian Vine SKU 537-12

 

The image and sentiment stamps were both inked using Aged Mahogany Distress Ink and clear embossed. I then colored the flowers using Copic Markers – R39, RV55 and RV69. I wanted to add some bling but without bulk, so I added Stickles to the centers of the flowers.

 

Ribbon! Yes, it needed ribbon, so I did the flat bow. You know how to do that, right? Just punch two holes in the card. Mine are about 1/2” apart. I then threaded the two ends through those holes from the front, crossed them behind and brought the ends up through the opposite hole. I then cut the ends of the ribbon. Flat bow!

 

Pull out your Rubbernecker stamps and create a one layer – clean and simple card that you can mail. I know who will be getting this one.

Wednesday's Worktable with Charlene - Fashion Diva

Rubbernecker has some of THE coolest fashion diva images!  I love this one called Jeanne (SKU #494-07).  The images are so much fun to color or paper piece, the latter being what I chose to do today.

I paper pieced Jeanne's dress with this pretty chocolate and white polkadotted designer paper, which made me think of one of my favorite movies, "Pretty Woman."   I colored the rest of Jeanne with Copic markers, fussy cut the image, and popped it up on dimensionals.

TUESDAYS WITH THE TEAM!!

Hi everyone, Jennifer here and I'm so excited to share this post with you all today - my first Tuesday With the Team since becoming a member of the Rubbernecker Stamps design team!  I made this card using a number of stamps from the Opera Set, Watch Set 2, and the "thanks so much" sentiment.

I started with a page from a vintage French book that I picked up at an estate sale, stamping it with the postmark and vintage automobile stamps from the Opera Set, adding photo corners to complete the vintage look, and adhering it to the card base.  I then stamped the large pocket watch stamp onto some patterned paper, cut it out, and tied the sentiment tag to it.  I used foam squares to pop both up from the card base.

I just love all of the vintage-inspired stamps that Rubbernecker has and th ink you will, too!  Until the next time!

Kittie's Korner- More Fall Harvest

Welcome to Kittie’s Corner. I have another fall card to share with you today using the new Fall Harvest set. I love coloring the truck image and making it look old and rusty. Loading it with pumpkins and surrounding it with fall leaves creates a great fall scene.

 

I stamped the leaves several times on watercolor paper, masked and stamped the truck. I wanted the leaves to be piled up around the leaves and sideboard. The pumpkins were stamped on scrap watercolor paper and then I painted all the images using reinkers mixed with water. I cut out the images so I could pop them up in a frame. I cut a slit along the bed of the truck and inserted the pumpkins. I sponged clouds onto the base scene layer and attached to the base card. I created the double matted frame using Deckle Nestabilities and then crimped both sides to add dimension. I applied ribbon across the front of the frame and then mounted over the scene background with mounting tape. I popped up the truck using mounting tape. I punched the oak leaves, sponged them with ink to deepen their color and crimped. I attached them to the ribbon with Matte Accent and then applied the olive button. FRIDAY "EVENING" FUN with javablustamper

Evening all!  How are you?  Hope you all are dry!!  It is STILL a tad soggy over here in PA!!  Whew!!  Talk about some rain!  Wait, did I say rain?  I meant FLOODING!!  Anyway, thanks for stopping by for a visit!  I have a Halloween one for you today!  I LOVE creating for Halloween, don't you?  SO many cool images to use!  Again I tried for SIMPLE!!  I want you all to see how EASY it is to create with Rubbernecker stamps!!  Check it out!

Well, what do you think?!  I told you that Clean and Simple stuff was growing on me!!  Haha!  Easy, peasy, right?  I used my Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Papertrey  Kraft cardstock, some miscellaneous orange ribbon, and my Inksentials sponge tool!!  Now, I just looked up the links for you, for the stamps?  I do not see these sets in stock, SO I will have to check on that for you!  I got these last year at our local stamp show, from Rubbernecker, of course!!  Speaking of SHOWS?  This weekend is the STAMP SCRAP ART TOUR in Westminster, Maryland!!  I will be there this weekend, along with Mr. Rubbernecker and LOTS of cool Rubbernecker stamps!!  SO excited to get out there and share!!  Hope you can join us!!  Just click on the RED SENTENCE above, so you can get all the info!!  OK, off to get my kids ready for a day without mommy!!  Haha!!  Have a WONDERFUL night!!  See you tomorrow for our "Saturday Night Special"!

Karen’s Korner - Happiness Character

When I think Asian, I think simplicity. For this card, I inked the Rubbernecker Happiness Character using Barn Door distress ink, stamped onto white card stock and embossed with clear embossing powder.

This is just one of several Asian characters available from Rubbernecker along with many Asian images. They are really lovely.

I mounted the white card front onto red cardstock for just a narrow border to set off the simplicity of the character. I added the simple black cord which has knots on both ends and also a knot in the center. I attached it to the back to hang over the front of the card.

Wednesday's Worktable with Charlene - Sunflowers Galore!

Several years ago, my family and I took a fabulous three-week vacation out west.  As we traversed through Kansas, I was enthralled with the HUGE fields of beautiful sunflowers.   As I was remembering this vacation a few days ago, it inspired me to pull out this fabulous sunflower image.

I stamped the sunflower six times, colored them with Copic markers, added glitter glue to the centers, hand cut them, and stacked them in twos for dimension.  The leaves are actually a part of the sunflower image, but I colored and cut those separately so I could place them where I wanted.

TUESDAYS WITH THE TEAM!

 

Hello everyone...Joan here and I wanted to show you some CAS style Christmas cards that would be flat for mailing. You all know how I love to pile on the layers and embellies so I really had to put on the brakes...LOL!!

 

My first card features the K K Originals Stamps Birch Forest stamp #66-01kk...it was stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder in Chocolate Chip cardstock. It was then cutout with a round Nestabilities die and adhered to the white cardstock with pop dots. The little Rubbernecker Garden Bird #SKU-49 was colored with Copics, cutout, and popped up with a pop dot. The Stamp Oasis Scroll Joy sentiment #SKU 1206 SO was stamped at the top with Memento Rich Cocoa.

 

The second card features the three step Christmas tree from the Rubbernecker’s Snowflakes and Stardust set #SKU: 481.....they were stamped on white cardstock with Vivid Aqua, Pear Pizzaz, and Lavender Lace. The sentiment from the same set was stamped on Vellum paper with Stazon Black and adhered to the cardstock with dots of glue. The pearls were added to the vellum over the glued areas to cover up the spots!! The white cardstock was adheres to a layer of Hawaiian shores cardstock and then adhered to the white card base.

 

The third card is a one layer card...I can’t believe I didn’t add any layers or embellies!!! The KK Originals Neighborhood stamp #62-03 KK was stamped with memento Tuxedo Black and the doors and windows were colored with Copics. The snowflakes from the Rubbernecker Snowflakes and Stardust set # SKU:481 were stamped with Vivid Aqua and the sentiment at the bottom was stamped with the Stamp Oasis Let it snow stamp #151 SO.

 

I now have three more flat Christmas cards to mail out in December....how about you...have you started you Christmas or Winter cards yet???

Kittie's Korner Fall Leaves

Welcome to Kittie’s Korner. The Labor Day holiday celebrates the last dog days of summer and opens the door to welcome the fall season with it’s crisp cool days, colorful changing leaves and piles of pumpkins and apples. I have such fond memories of the seasonal changes that took place in West Virginia where I grew up. Our home was surrounded by rolling hills covered with trees filled with gorgeous leaves of every fall color. My project today is a whimsical fall scene with a sparse tree and a truck surrounded and filled with sparkly colorful leaves.

 
The tree and truck in my scene are new images from the Kittie Kits Fall Harvest set that will release tomorrow at Rubbernecker Stamps. I stamped the tree on white cardstock using black ink and used a brown marker to color the tree trunk and limbs. I sponged in the sky using Broken China ink, an ink blending tool and a hand cut cloud template to create a crisp blue fall sky. I cut the tiny leaves from the Apple Cider designer paper to place sparsely on the tree and used the same paper to create the main frame layer. I adhered a piece of designer paper to a piece of scrap cardstock to reinforce it for the frame. I used Labels One Nestabilities sets to cut the double matted frame opening and mounted over the tree scene with mounting tape. I stamped the car on watercolor paper, painted with with Ginger, Pumice Stone and More Mustard reinker and cut out to pop up in front of the tree scene. I cut a slit in the bed of the truck with a craft knife and inserted a combination of punched and crimped colorful oak leaves combined with a few designer paper leaves. I attached the truck to the frame and added texture and dimension by surrounding the truck with additional punched oak leaves. I thought adding sparkly clear Stickles was the perfect finishing touch.
