When we first discussed starting a company blog, there were several objectives we had in mind. Besides being a gathering place where our customers could get the latest news on tutorials, product updates and inspiration, we wanted to have a way to showcase our customers and their talents.
Starting today, and on the first of each month hereafter, we’ll be doing just that – our new feature, CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT! Along with being featured on our blog, each Customer in the Spotlight will receive a $25.00 Gift Certificate (good for rubber stamps only) to be used at Rubbernecker Stamp Company.
We are so pleased to announce that our first customer to be featured is Michelle Adams a/k/a shellapoo on Splitcoaststampers. We asked Michelle to tell us a little about herself, and this is what she said:
I just turned 32 and I have been married to my wonderfully supportive husband, Bruce, for almost 12 years. We live in Southern Illinois with our Boston Terrier, Buddy. I have Multiple Sclerosis, and I have been blessed with my parents living with us since my diagnosis in 2003. Prior to my MS, I had a career in the Mortgage industry and was a needlecrafter in my spare time. After I was diagnosed, and especially after I left the corporate world, I longed for a creative outlet but could no longer do my needlework due to my MS symptoms. I started stamping in 2005 after falling in love with the House Mouse collection of images. I taught myself how to stamp, just trial and error, with stamping magazines and books. I discovered Stampin' Up in 2006 and my stamping horizons increased exponentially, and in 2007 I found Splitcoaststampers and I have grown even more. My stamping style is simple. I enjoy trying techniques, but tend to stick with several favorites, including Embossing Resist and Paper Piecing. Being at home all of the time, I manage to finish quite a few cards. Needing a place to send them, I found several organizations to volunteer for that allow me to send my cards to cancer patients. This opportunity has been such a blessing and has made my stamping time even more rewarding. Rubbernecker Stamp Company is one of my absolute favorite companies to shop with, especially on Tuesdays ;0), and I look forward to many years of stamping fun with their images!
We also asked Michelle to send us photos of some of her favorite cards, and we had a very hard time picking which ones we wanted to showcase. Below are a few of our favorites. However, we encourage everyone to visit her Splitcoaststampers Gallery for more inspiration!
