Welcome to our Wacky Wednesday Challenge! I'm Bev Gerard (TexasGrammy), and am tickled to be back as the hostess of this week's challenge,"Cut It Out"! No, it's not a diet! Ick! It's really simple ... Be sure to use your scissors to cut something out for your project! Cut out your image, or items for paper-piecing, etc. Our popular die cuts will not count as the 'cut out' element, but you can still use them along with your cut out requisite. Come along, grab your scissors, and 'cut something out'!

We're on the journey from Summer, changing into Fall. (Some of 'us' are changing sooner than those of 'us' in the Southern areas, but I'm speaking from the calendar here.) ;) Besides, I easily admit that I'm beyond ready to leave the 100's behind, and savor something a wee bit cooler. In the words of my 5 yr. old g'son, "Oh yeahhhh!"
After stamping and preparing the leaves, I cut them out and layered them atop the sentiment with foam tape. This often looks harder than it is in reality. If you haven't tried it, give it a try! Pick a favorite, basic card design, and cut out your image(s) rather than stamping it and leaving it "flat". You might discover that your really enjoy the new dimension! I used the Fancy Butterfly #609-SO and just the Thank You from Bottom of my Heart Text #25-13 The background(SU DSP Prints Soft Sky)pattern paper was embossed with iridescent sparkle embossing powder and Dazzle Versamark. The butterfly was stamped with encore sliver metallic ink and embossed with the same iridescent sparkle ep. The little button has silver thread tied through it. The tag was made with a Spellbinders Ribbons Tag trio. The bottom scallop was made with Spellbinders Fancy Scalloped Border. This card has so much sparkle in real life...woohoo!!!
